Smaller Learning Communities

smaller learning communitiesSmaller Learning Communities (SLCs) provide students and staff with an opportunity to develop lasting relationships built on similar interests and learning styles. Classes in the designated SLC wing will cater to these interests in an effort to provide students with a more relevant curriculum that allows more opportunities for community partnerships.

Smaller Learning Communities in other school districts across the country have experiences an increase in graduation rates; an increase in college attendance rates; an increase in parent, student, and staff communication and involvement; a decrease in discipline issues; and a decrease in dropout rates.
