Welcome to North High School! We are one of 6 high schools in the Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation and serve more than 1,400 students. 

In 2012, North High School moved into a brand new, state-of-the-art facility on Evansville's far north side.

Nominate Outstanding Teacher of the Year!
The University of Evansville and the Evansville Courier & Press is sponsoring the 2020 Outstanding Educator of the Year Awards.  This program was established to acknowledge the dedication and contributions made by our county’s educators. One person will be selected in each of four categories: Elementary School Teacher (K-5), Middle School Teacher (6-8), High School Teacher (9-12), and Building Principal. A committee of teachers and community leaders will select the winners. Fellow teachers, parents, students, or the community at-large may nominate deserving teachers and building principals by submitting an online nomination:  www.courierpress.com/educators


The Vanderburgh County Health Department in partnership with the Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation and North High School will be holding an immunization clinic at school.  No need to miss work or take your child out of school.  We will come to you!  

Clinic Date:  10/19/2019

Required and recommended vaccines will be offered along with annual flu shot.  Your child will qualify if they have:  no insurance, on medicaid and some private insurances.

The Bad Seed - 2019 Fall Play
North High School is proud to present The Bad Seed

The Bad Seed is a psychological mystery/thriller which is based on a novel by the same name and is currently being made into a movie for TV.

Rising Stars of Indiana Class of 2020

The IASP Department of Student Programs is excited to recognize North High School juniors, Jacob Alvey, Trenner Jones, Mary Kirsch, and Alexander Phan, along with 1,008 Indiana students from the Class of 2020 from 258 Indiana schools. Rising Stars of Indiana is a non-competitive recognition program, designed to honor high school juniors for their academic achievement. By allowing schools to identify outstanding scholars during their Junior year, we hope to increase their visibility and
scholarship opportunities.

NHS: Indiana Performance Qualified High School

Congratulations to North High School students, parents, and staff for receiving the status of a Performance Qualified High School for the 2019-2020 school year from the Indiana Department of Education and the Office of School Accountability & Accreditation. This is the second year in a row that Husky Nation has received this honor.

Congratulations to NHS Media Specialist Les Bain

Congratulations to North High School Media Center Specialist, Mr. Les Bain, for receiving an Indiana Connected Educators Award. He was nominated by the Evansville Vanderburgh Public Library for being a strong advocate for the EVPL and developing a well-connected space for literacy at North High School.
