From October to March, students can hone their public speaking skills in events through interpretation (e.g. duo), public address (e.g. original oratory, impromptu), argumentation (e.g. discussion, extemporaneous) or mass media (e.g. broadcasting). Some events require memorization by the end of the season; all students will compete in at least 3 rounds at invitationals in their individual event.
